At Abooksigun Bengals my queens live indoors as part of my extended family, except for Rudy & Moto who have their own stud houses, as entire males like to spray to mark their territory & attract their little harem!! Rudy lives with me & Moto lives with Sarah at Westwinds Bengals. Believe it or not some queens when in call can be known to spray too.
When one of my girls comes into call she will move in with one of the boys for about a week, either here with Rudy or at Sarah's with Moto & then come back indoors to be spoilt. When the queen is roughly 7-8 weeks pregnant I then move her into my bedroom where she has her own nest & space to make her feel safe before the arrival of her little ones. Maiden queens especially need plenty of re-assurance in my opinion.
When my queens are in labour I like to be with them to help them if needed or just so they have someone close to them to know that I am there just incase. Once the kittens arrive safe and sound this is where they stay, getting lots of love & attention until they have had their first lot of vaccinations. Once they have been vaccinated the kitties & mum then get full run of the house. This is so they get used to everyday household noises like the vacuum cleaner, washing machine, tumble dryer & the television. My chidren also love this part as they like to play with the kittens keeping them entertained & giving their mum a well earned break! I think this helps into making them confident little bundles of fun too!
When the kittens are ready to leave for their new home, the new Abooksigun Bengal slaves are welcomed in so that I get chance to explain what their chosen kittens character is like & to go through the kitten care sheet, which helps to make the transition into a new home as smooth as possible. Imagine being taken away from your mum & siblings & taken somewhere that you do not know, this is actually quite stressful for a new kitten, so the transition is very important.
New Abooksigun Bengal slaves are also given a kitty pack which includes a box of the litter they are accustomed to using, food the kitten is used to, & 4 weeks free insurance from PetPlan plus toys that they enjoy playing with. Before Abooksigun Bengals are ready for their new homes they are health checked, fully vaccinated, wormed & frontlined for your convenience. The kitty packs are important as whilst transitioning into a new home having the familiarity of the food & litter helps them to settle.
I would like to point out that once your kitten has settled into their new home I would like to be informed of any concern you may have or even if your circumstances change & you need to re-home your Abooksigun Bengal. I feel very responsible for the Abooksigun babies that I bring into the world & always have their welfare at heart.
My Pet prices start at £450, which reflects the excellent upkeep my babies receive before being adopted for their new homes. Excellent quality food, litter, vet checks, worming & flea treatment & of course all the love & attention they could wish for, especially by myself & my children.
I hope this goes to show any Abooksigun Bengal slave or prospective slave, that I really do care about my babies & if you appreciate my philosophy or are intrigued, why not arrange a visit to come & meet us & see what wonderful characters Bengals really are!
Look forward to hearing from you!!
